Call to speed up war crimes trial
Speakers at a discussion in Chittagong city yesterday evening urged the government to expedite the ongoing war crimes trial.
The discussion, organised by Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (BSD), was held at MS Huq Auditorium at Pahartali in the port city marking "Pahartali Killing Day".
Begum Mushtari Shafi, a writer and women leader, Mahfuzur Rahman, chairman of Bangladesh Muktisangram and Muktijoddha Research Centre, Prof Gazi Saleh Uddin of Chittagong University, and Manash Nandi, convenor of BSD, Chittagong unit also spoke at the discussion.
