Bangladesh's ranking down in warning on tobacco products

Bangladesh's position in the ranking of use of visual warnings on the packages of tobacco products has fallen by 20 points, according to a research report. Bangladesh stands at 97th position among 198 countries. In 2010, the country's position was 77. The report titled, "Visual warning on packages of tobacco products" was published by Canadian Cancer Society at the 5th session of WHO FCTC Conference of Parties- COP in Seoul of South Korea yesterday. Canada was the first country to introduce visual warnings on packages of cigarettes in 2001.
