Obituary
Dr Jahedur Rahman, former member of National Assembly and an organiser of the Liberation War, died of old aged complications in Singapore National University Hospital on Wednesday. He was 97.
He left behind his eight children, a host of relatives and well-wishers.
Jahedur, son of Abdul Hamid Khandakar and Amena Khatun, was the founding managing director of Doctors' Chemicals.
He was born at Nishidhara Khandakar Para in Bogra town and completed his MBBS course from Calcutta Medical College in 1948.
Jahedur was a close associate of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
