11 held while crossing border
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held 11 people including two Indian citizens from Putkhali and Chotoachra area in Benapole while crossing the border illegally early yesterday.
The arrestees are Gobinda Borai, Mita Borai, Sabita Borai, Srimoti Bibi Borai, Tithi Roy, Mishti, Sujon, Phuljan Bibi, Sumi Biswas, and the Indian nationals Gobinda Mondol and Amitav Mondol.
BGB sources said they arrested the people in separate drives in the area.
The arrestees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station, they said.
Two cases were filed.
