'Kothin Chibor Dan' observed
Buddhist community of the port city observed "Kothin Chibor Dan", a religious festival, at Chittagong Buddhist Monastery in Nandan Kanon yesterday evening.
Industries Minister Dilip Barua was present as chief guest in the programme.
Social welfare ministry Secretary Ranjit Kumar Biswas, Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarath K Weragoda, Chittagong Buddhist Monastery Principal Gayanshree Mohathero, Barrister Biplob Barua and Barrister Prashanto Bhusan Barua were also present on the occasion with highest monk of the Buddhist community Dharmoshen Mohathero in the chair.
