Low over the Bay likely to intensify
The low over the southwest Bay and adjoining area has turned into well marked low over the east-central Bay and adjoining southeast Bay.
It is likely to intensify further and associated through extends up to the north Bay, said a special bulletin of Met Office yesterday.
Under its influence, deep convection is taking place over the North Bay.
Squally weather is likely to affect the North Bay, adjoining coastal area and maritime ports.
Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Mongla have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal number three.
All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay and deep sea have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice and also advised not to venture into the deep sea.
