Fire guts 23 shops in Ctg
A fire burned down 23 shops including a rice warehouse in Chaktai area of Chittagong yesterday.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit at a shop in Chalpotti of Chaktai and soon spread to adjacent shops, said sources at Agrabad Fire Service and Civil Defence Station.
Fire fighters doused the fire after battling it for six hours, they added.
