Woman stabbed to death
A woman was allegedly killed by her cousin in Satkania upazila of Chittagong early yesterday as she refused an unwanted advance of the cousin.
The deceased was Tanjina Akhter, 21, daughter of Abdul Khalek of Satkania municipality.
Satkania police said Mainuddin Rafi, 18, of sadar upazila, stabbed his cousin Tanjina at her elder sister's residence in Boalia around 5:30am.
As Tanjina refused Rafi's proposal when she visited her sister Parvin's home, Rafi went there and killed her in sleep yesterday morning, said Officer-in-Charge Khaled Hossain.
Parvin lodged a murder case accusing Rafi.
