Three-day programme against violence on women begins at JU
Marking the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a 3-day programme began at Jahangirnagar University yesterday.
The programme titled “Women's Right Movement Coincides with Anti-Corruption Movement†is organised by JU Debate Organisation (JUDO) and Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB).
The programme will include a debate competition styled “TIB-JUDO women's debate festâ€, cartoon exhibition, public speaking and seminar on “Representation on Women's Harassment in Liberation War and Up To Date Conditionâ€.
JUDO president Jakaria Palash announced the schedule at a press conference held at JU Journalist association.
In the debate competition, 20 teams comprised of only females from country's different educational institute will compete.
