Alcohol making factory unearthed
Police unearthed a alcohol making factory and arrested a woman with alcohol making materials at Baniajan village in Dhunat upazila on Thursday morning.
The arrestee was Moli Begum, 35, wife of Mostafizar Rahman of the village.
Police and local sources said Moli's husband built the factory in his home two years ago and had been producing alcohol unnoticed.
Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house and arrested the housewife while Mostafizar managed to escape. Later, they seized six litres of alcohol, 300 litres of alcohol making materials and other goods from Moli's possession.
