Cop 'commits suicide' in capital
A police constable posted at Public Order Management unit in the capital's Mirpur allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his own rifle yesterday.
Constable Sujon Miah, 20, was alone in an official vehicle when his colleagues got off. Hearing a gun shot, they rushed to the vehicle and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 8:00am.
Officer-in-Charge Abdul Latif of Kafrul Police Station said police learned that Sujon was depressed.
