11 held with fake visas at airport
Immigration police arrested 11 youths at Shahjalal International Airport while they were trying to fly to Thailand with fake visas Sunday night.
They were identified as Shahidul Islam, Abdur Rahim, Shariful Islam, Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Rafiqul Islam, Saiful Islam, and Shahjahan Kabir of Jessore; Manjur Rahman of Rajshahi; Abu Sayeed, and Md Ratan of Narayanganj; and Faruk Hossain of Sirajganj.
Nazimul Hoque, senior assistant superintendent of police and also the officer-in-charge of Immigration Police at the airport, told The Daily Star that they were arrested after their visas were found fake during a check with a machine at around 8:00pm.
