Road crashes kill four
Four people were killed and another was injured in road accidents in Chittagong, Rangpur and Jhenaidah on Monday and yesterday.
Our staff correspondent from Chittagong reports, two auto-rickshaw passengers were killed instantly and its driver was injured as a bus rammed the auto-rickshaw at Bartakia in Mirsarai yesterday afternoon.
One of the deceased was Nazimuddin, 22, of Poshchim Moghadia in the upazila.
In Rangpur, Julekha Begum, 40, a teacher of Aladipara Registered Primary School, died as a tractor hit a rickshaw-van carrying her in Bakshir Dighee area of Pirgachha yesterday noon.
In Jhenaidah, former UP member Ismail Hossian of Moheshpur upazila, died as a human hauler hit his motorbike at Beleghat bus stand in the upazila on Monday night.
