20 Rohingyas held in Ukhia
Police arrested 20 Rohingyas from a Cox's Bazar-bound bus in Ukhia bus stand area yesterday morning.
Ukhia police Sub-Inspector Mahidul Alam said they came to Bangladesh through Ulubania point under Teknaf upazila.
The Rohingyas of Akib district in Myanmar set off for Majhir Ghat area in Cox's Bazar town.
One of the arrestees said one Kafayet Ullah of Ulubania asked them to come to Majhir Ghat with a promise to send them to Malaysia.
The Rohingyas were sent to jail, the SI added.
