500 Jamaat-Shibir activists sued over Zindabazar clash
Police filed two cases against over 500 Jamaat-e-Ismali and Islami Chhatra Shibir activists with Kotwali Police Station on charge of assaulting law-enforcers and blasting crackers during a clash with the police in Sylhet city's Zindabazar on Wednesday.
The accused include Sylhet city Jamaat Ameer Ehsanul Mahbub Zobayer, former amir Ziauddin Nader, district (north) Amir Hafiz Abdul Hai Harun and former city unit Shibir president Anwarul Wadud.
Sub-Inspector Zakir filed the assault case while SI Ashrafuzzaman lodged the cracker blasting case against the Jamaat-Shibir activists, said Officer-in-Charge Ataur Rahman.
