Woman's body found in Khulna
Police yesterday recovered the decomposed body of a housewife from Chanmary area in Khulna city.
The deceased was identified as Sumi Begum, 25, wife of Apon, a resident of the area.
Locals informed police after a bad smell had spread over the area.
Shahbuddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Khulna Police Station, said her husband might have strangled her and poured acid in her mouth over altercations regarding his extramarital relationship.
Her body was sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital for an autopsy and Apon is on the run.
