Death anniversary
Today is the 41st death anniversary of Rafiqul Haider Chowdhury (Eshika), a martyred intellectual. On the occasion, a milad mahfil will be held after Asr prayers at Aminbagh Mosque in the capital. On this day in 1971, Razakars, collaborators of the Pakistan occupation army, picked Rafiqul Haider up from his 921, Shahidbagh residence and took him away blindfolded. Later, they killed him.
