Road crashes kill 6

Six people were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents in Sirajganj, Bogra and Kishoreganj yesterday. Our Sirajganj correspondent reports, two motorcyclists were killed as a truck ran them over on Sirajganj-Raiganj regional road near Alokdia bridge in Sirajganj at about 11:00am yesterday. The deceased were Babul Sheikh, 19, son of Abdur Razzak, and Sohel Rana, 20, son of Abul Kalam of Satkia village in sadar upazila. In another incident, a girl died as a Dhaka-bound coach ran her over while crossing Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway at Mannannagar in the district yesterday. The victim was Kakali Khatun, 7, daughter of Abdul Kader of Rouhabari village in Taras upazila. Our Bogra correspondent reports, two motorbike riders were killed as a truck hit them in Chonka Bazar area of Sherpur upazila in the district yesterday noon. The deceased were Kirton Shil, 15, son of Kanchon Shil, and Biplop Mia, 28, son of Jahedur Rahman. Our Kishoreganj correspondent reports, an elderly person was killed and five others were injured as a bus hit a human hauler at Pacholgota village in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj district yesterday. The deceased was Saikat Ali, 65. The injured were rushed to Jahurul Islam Medical College Hospital.
