Dr Fazle Rabbee's 41st anniversary of death today
Today is the 41st death anniversary of Shaheed Dr Fazle Rabbee, says a press release. On this day in 1971, the Pakistani army and their collaborator Al-Badar picked him up from his Shiddheshwari residence of the capital around 4:00pm and killed him brutally at midnight in Rayer Bazar. His body was recovered from Rayer Bazar killing ground on December 18. The renowned heart specialist, Dr Fazle Rabbee, served as professor of medicine and cardiology at Dhaka Medical College. To mark the death anniversary of this progressive physician, wreathes will be placed at his grave today and food will be distributed among the poor.
