What a pity! Begum Khaleda Zia defended her son Tarique as an innocent man-- Zia's son who cannot be corrupt. To her, it was all conspiracy (a common complaint she always had against her opposition). She has made a big mistake by expelling Mannan Bhuiyan.

The expulsion of Mannan Bhuiyan from the BNP by Khaleda Zia was not at all according to the rules and discipline of a big political party. It again reflected Khaleda Zia's mentality not to follow any norms and decide all issues unilaterally without any consultation with party high ups and council meeting. Without serving any notice or asking for any explanation, the chairperson cannot expel the general secretary from the party. The nation could not know the reasons for the expulsion or faults of Mr. Mannan Bhuiyan. Kumar Prithwiraj Nath Toronto, Canada
