Sound pollution

Imtiaz, Sector, Uttara
During Ramadan, we notice a common tendency in almost every market, particularly in metro cities-- use of mikes by the shop owners association and attempts to attract customers to their shops as part of their sales programme. While doing this, they make noise throughout the month. In big cities, as the markets are adjacent to each other, their sounds cause intolerable disturbance to people who stay in or go to or pass by the area. Inside the market, the CD shops play music with deafening sounds. In Uttara, Rajlaxmi Complex has already started this sales programme. We, who go to or pass by the market, are the sufferers. Is there any authority who will please take action against sound pollution? The problem is getting worse day by day in the city.
