PSTU to have disaster management instt
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed yesterday between Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and Comprehensive Disaster Management Programme (CDMP), a UN project, on exchange of knowledge, experience and research.
The CDMP will also help setting up of a disaster management institute at PSTU under the MOU.
CDMP technical advisor and director Yang Stanford and PSTU registrar Abu Hayder signed the MOU at a Regent Board meeting of the university.
Dr. Mahmudul Islam, senior project consultant of CDMP, Prof AKM Mostafa Zaman, chairman of Environmental Science and Disaster Management at PSTU, Prof Dr. Sultan Ahmed, den of Business Administration faculty and other PSTU teachers and high officials were present.
