Kamran improving at hospital
Sylhet mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran, undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, is improving.
The mayor, suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes, has been kept under close monitoring and his condition is improving, hospital Director Brig Gen Ismail Hossain yesterday said, adding that they have formed a five-member special medical board headed by Prof Ismail Patwary of medicine for the mayor's treatment.
He may be kept for days more, the director said.
As the SCC mayor fell sick on Monday evening after he was taken back to Sylhet Central Jail following a six-hour parole for joining his mother's funeral, a medical team from Osmani Medical College Hospital checked him and he was shifted to the hospital at 9:30pm.
