Child dies for 'wrong' treatment, quack held
A child died due to alleged wrong treatment at Shailkupa town in Jhenidah district on Friday.
Saiful Islam of Kabirpur village in Shailkupa upazila took his one-year-old daughter Jharna to Dinabandhu Poddar, a quack on Friday for treatment of two boils on her head.
After Dinabandhu pushed four injections to make Jharna senseless, his compounder conducted an operation on the child's head without any medical test, leading to her tragic death at the chamber.
Police arrested the quack Shailkupa Police Station Officer-in-Charge SM Badiuzzaman said.
