Doctor sued for 'neglecting' duty
A doctor of Kushtia General Hospital has been sued for alleged negligence in duty.
The doctor is Mir Mahfuzul Haque.
Tahera Islam, wife of Kushtia Bar Asociation general secretary Advocate Nurul Islam Dulal, went to the hospital on Tuesday with complaints of high blood pressure and problem of sugar. She met Dr Mahfuz but he showed negligence to her and asking to get admitted to Kushtia Amin Diagnostic Centre where he worked as a part time doctor. As Tahera denied, the doctor told her to go our uttering 'no treatment.'
Advocate Dulal and Advocate Manurul Alam of Kushtia Judge's Court filed two cases against the doctor for negligence in duty with Kushtia chief judicial magistrate's court on Wednesday and Thursday.
