Imposter held
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested an imposter here on Thursday, Rab and police said.
Nazrul Islam, 45, of Char Gobindapur village in Sadar upazila was arrested for extorting Tk 10,000 from a house owner at Char Bhawanipur village in Sadar upazila on August 25, they said.
Identifying themselves as Rab, Nazrul and his accomplices went to Anisur Rahman's house and demanded Tk 15,000 from his parents who paid them Tk 10,000.
On suspicion, Anisur informed the matter to Rab. Accordingly, Rab arrested Nazrul Islam.
