2 policemen held for mugging
Two policemen were caught red-handed after they snatched a mobile phone at Mirza Jangal in the city yesterday afternoon.
The arrestees are Nayek Amin Hossain and constable Atiqur Rahman of Range Reserve Force, Sylhet.
Shabbir Ahmed, a resident of Majortila was passing through Mirza Jangal by a rickshaw when the two men stood on his way and snatched away his mobile phone set.
As Shabbir cried for help, several passers-by reached the spot, caught the snatchers and recovered the mobile phones.
