2 brothers held for cheating Tk 2 crore
Police arrested two brothers on charge of cheating 87 people of Tk 2 crore in the town in the name of Destiny 2006 Ltd.
Assuring them of giving profit from the company, the two brothers -- Jewel, 25, and Sohel, 27, of Jummapara in Rangpur town, took about Tk 2 crore but did not deposit any money with Destiny, police said.
Jewel and Sohel were not employees or distributors of Destiny 2006 Ltd, they said.
Jewel was arrested from Bijoy Hotel of Dhap area while Sohel surrendered to police at Kotwali Police Station on Saturday night. Two fraud cases were lodged.
