Congrats, GM Rakib!

The nation has got its fourth grandmaster of chess Abdullah Al Rakib. World Chess Federation (FIDE) recently awarded the top title to the talented player Rakib. He has joined the elite club of grandmasters in the country that was first initiated by the first grandmaster of the subcontinent, Niaz Murshed, and was later joined by other masters: GM Ziaur Rahman & GM Rifat Bin Sattar. Here it is to be mentioned that obtaining this height is a quite a rigorous job: a player has to undertake a journey that needs incessant efforts. And the outcome, worldwide, is a paltry one, as the proverbial statement reveals the unique point that there are fewer grandmasters than Noble winners in the globe --- the truth only manifests the need of a unique combination of talent, effort, social milieu and state sponsorship that, in a word, speaks of "total enlightenment". I congratulate GM Rakib , and wish him a grand future… Cheers!
