'Punish killers of Prothom Alo staff Ainal'

Family members of murdered Prothom Alo staff Ainal Haque at a press conference at Manikganj Press Club yesterday demanded punishment of the killers. After Ainul Haque, 30, son of Kashem Ali of Kafatia village under Manikganj Sadar upazila, and an employee of circulation department of Bangla daily Prothom Alo, was killed and two of his cousins were seriously over a land dispute on October 3 in 2008, a case was filed accusing Nur Islam, Akkas, Hazrat Ali, Shamsul Islam and Bimala, members of a neighbouring family at the village. Akkas and Shamsul are giving death threat to the victim's family members to withdraw the case after the two accused got bail from the High Court, they said at the press conference. The killers are also threatening to abduct the only son of the deceased, the family members said. They urged the concerned authority to ensure their security and punishment of the killers.
