1,000 Viagra tabs, phensidyl seized: 6 held

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) yesterday arrested six people and recovered 1,000 Viagra tablets and phensidyl from Rangpur, Rajshahi and Dinajpur districts. A Rab team recovered 192 pieces of Viagra tablets from the Super Market area in Rangpur. In another raid, the same team seized 812 Viagra tablets from a shop owned by Mohadev in Nawabganj market area and arrested two youths. They are Babu Mia, 25, and Sumon Mia, 27. Another team of the elite force seized 140 bottles of phensidyl and 5 litre liquid phensidyl from Tangon area in Rajshahi city. Joypurhat Rab in another raid in Bilpara area under Hakimpur Police Station in Dinajpur district arrested four people including a woman with 230 bottles of phensidyl and two motorbikes. The arrestees are Saidul Islam, 25, Shah Ali, 65, Ajufa Khatun, 50, and Istambul Islam, 40. The arrestees along with the seized items were handed over to the respective police stations, Rab said.
