2 attacked by wild bear, hospitalised
Two indigenous villagers sustained severe injuries as they came under attack of a wild bear at village Dhurong Para in Mahalchhari upazila yesterday.
The bear came out of a jungle near the village at noon. As Mangsi Larma, 20, son of Chaithang Marma and Ubay Marma, 40, wife of Aroi Marma tried to capture it, the wild beast attacked and bit them indiscriminately. Hearing their hue and cry, villagers came to their rescue.
They rushed the two to Guimara Upazila Health Complex. As their condition worsened, they were shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
