Retrenched staffs reinstated

Barapukuria Power Plant authority yesterday reinstated 53 workers out of 56 retrenched workers following a series of protests including rallies and processions. Earlier, the 56 staffs of the plant were sacked on April 1 without any prior notice. The workers, however, alleged that the authority curtailed their salaries by about 15 per cent.
