Human chain in Sylhet

A human chain was formed in front of the local shaheed minar here yesterday afternoon to press for immediate cancellation of lease of a government land for a proposed private school. The land situated behind Sylhet Infectious Diseases Hospital in Shahi Eidgah area was allegedly allotted to a man in name of Jalalabad Interna-tional School. Earlier, a group of sports organisers and officials of various clubs met the Deputy Commissioner on Sunday and handed over a memorandum demanding allotment of the land for a playground.
