21 more sued in Magura, Natore

Twenty-one more people have been sued for their alleged involvement in war crimes in Magura and Natore districts in 1971. A petition case was filed with Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court, Magura, yesterday against 11 alleged 'rajakars' for killing freedom fighter Abdur Rouf Molla at Alukdia rajakar camp in Madhukhali upazila on July 30, 1971, reports correspondent. Md Delwar Hossain Molla, son of the martyred freedom fighter, filed the case, accusing Razzak Dafader, 65, and Wazed Dafader, 60, of Pukhuria village, Golam Sarwar, 60, Ismail Biswas, 61, and Neyamot, 72, of Baharbagh viillage, Golam Rasul, 70, of Alukdia village, Golam Rabbani, 60, of Sreerampur village, Akbar, 62, and Nendu of Grihogram village, Sirajul Islam of Shyampur village and Aftab Molla of Sankochkhali village under the upazila. In Natore, a petition case was filed with Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court yesterday against 10 alleged collaborators of Pakistani occupation forces for killing 85 Christian missionaries at Banpara on May 3, 1971, according to a correspondent. Freedom fighter Moslem Uddin of Banpara village under Baraigram upazila filed the case. The accused are former civil surgeon Dr Saber Hossain, Abdul Mannan, Andur Rahman, Abdul Jabbar, Wahed Ali, Abdul Latif, Abdur Rashid, Habibur Rahman, Montu and Amin. He further said the accused picked up six women from the area and raped them at Natore army camp.
