Fresh probe into BNP MP's wealth ordered

The deputy commissioner (DC) of Barisal yesterday ordered reinvestigation of assets of a BNP lawmaker elected from Barisal-4 constituency. The DC ordered it following a complaint lodged against Mezbahuddin Farhad by Maidul Islam, a defeated Awami League (AL) candidate, district returning officer Mashiur Rahman said. In the complaint, the AL leader alleged that the BNP leader had concealed facts about his assets while submitting his wealth statement before polls, he said.
