Elderly man found dead

The throat-slit body of an elderly man was found in Dinajpur's Birampur upazila yesterday.

Dead Wahed Munshi, 80, of Bhabanipur village, was a quack by profession, said police.

The body was recovered in a grass field and sent to M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital for autopsy, said Ershad Ali, sub-inspector of Birampur Police Station.

Police suspect that he was killed over previous enmity or disputes, he added.
