18 army junior commissioned officers receive honorary lieutenant rank on Independence Day

A total of 18 junior commissioned officers (JCOs) of the Bangladesh Army holding the rank of master warrant officer have been granted honorary commissions as lieutenants on the occasion of Independence and National Day.

“On the occasion of March 26, the Bangladesh Army proudly awards honorary lieutenant commissions to 18 master warrant officers in recognition of their dedication and service,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The officers elevated to the rank of honorary lieutenant are: Mohammad Jamal Uddin (Armoured), Md A Kayeum (Artillery), Md Moharram Hossain (Artillery), Md Saiful Islam (Engineers), Mohammad Shafiqul Islam Sikder (Engineers), Md Ismail Hossain (Engineers), Md Shahidul Islam (Engineers), Md Abdul Kader (Signals), Kazi Mokarram Hossain (East Bengal), Md Habibur Rahman (East Bengal), Mohammad Tajul Islam (East Bengal), Mohammad Kibria Kamal (East Bengal), Mohammad Kamruzzaman (East Bengal), Md Khaled Morshed Nirab, Bir, Sheikh Kamal Uddin (ASC), Obaidur Rahman Sheikh (EME), Md Abul Hashem (EME), and Md Abdul Kader (CMP).
