BESTS OF BANGLADESH CRICKET
Bangladesh is a country of cricket fanatics. As a nation we are in love with the Bangladesh cricket team. Astounding performances from our players have shaken the cricket world many times. Shohag Gazi's recent record breaking performance of a hat-trick and a century in the same test match has made the nation proud. In the short history of our participation in international cricket our players have achieved a lot for our country.
Best with the Bat
* The highest batting score of Bangladesh team in test cricket is 638 against Sri Lanka at Galle on March 8, 2013. Bangladesh's highest ODI score is 320/8 against Zimbabwe (2009) and highest T20 score is 190/5 versus Ireland (2012),
* Ashraful became the youngest test cricket centurion by securing an unbeaten 158 against India in 2004. He has the highest number of ODI centuries i.e. 6 centuries among Bangladeshi players.
* Aminul Islam Bulbul grinded out 145 in the first official test match of Bangladesh against India (2000). It is the second highest in a nation's test debut after Charles Bannerman's 165 for Australia in 1877.
* Shakib Al Hasan is the first Bangladeshi batsman to score double of 2000 runs and 100 wickets. He has 5 test centuries which is the highest among Bangladeshi Batsman.
* Mushfiqur Rahim achieved the fastest test century from Bangladesh side against India in January, 2010. It was also his maiden test century. He is also the only double centurion in the brief history of Bangladesh cricket which he was against the stout Sri Lankan bowling squad at Galle in 2013.
* Tamim Iqbal, with his crushing batting performance becomes the highest run gatherer in both ODI and T20 matches from Bangladesh team, 370 and 576 respectively. He is also the highest scorer in a single ODI and T20 match from Bangladesh team with 154 against Zimbabwe and 88 against West Indies.
* Nasir Hossain has proved his consistent career and strong temperament by securing the highest batting average in ODI and Test cricket, 45.21 and 52.16 respectively.
