Heavenly Notes And Beats 1 Bengal Classical Music Festival 2013, organised by Bengal Foundation in collaboration with ITC-Sangeet Research Academy of Kolkata set off on November 28 at Dhaka's Army Stadium bringing together maestros of Indian classical music and dance at the biggest-ever festival of its kind in Dhaka. Kathak prodigy Vishal Krishna set off the opening day's performance, enthralling the audience with his aesthetic dance mudra. The other notable artistes of the night were Swarup Hossain and Md Zakir in a tabla quartet, Vidushi Girija Devi (vocal) and Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar (sarod). The second day of the festival featured Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty (vocal) and Ustad Rais Khan (sitar) among others. The highlight of the third day was a breathtaking performance by Pandit Shivkumar Sharma on Santoor. Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri mesmerised the audience with his magical skills in the Tabla. The divine flute recital by Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia left the audience in awe. The final day saw the performance of Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar, Ustad Bahauddin Dagar, Ustad Rashid Khan among others.
