Karnaphuli Mills supplies 914 MT paper to EC for national polls

For the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Election Commission (EC) has procured 914 metric tonnes of paper from Karnaphuli Paper Mills (KPM) Limited, located in Rangamati’s Kaptai upazila.

The paper has already been delivered to the EC, the mill’s Managing Director Mohammad Shahid Ullah told The Daily Star today.

He said that although the paper was scheduled to be delivered by January 15, it was sent to the EC through the Bangladesh Stationery Office ahead of schedule.

The market value of the delivered paper is approximately Tk 11.8 crore, he added.
