CMED Health, the Dhaka-based preventive healthcare startup, has won the Innovation Prize by TAG Heuer at Seedstars Summit 2018 in Switzerland. This is the first time a startup from Bangladesh has won at a Seedstars competition. CMED Health initiative is a research outcome of Advanced Intelligent Multidisciplinary Systems Lab (AIMS Lab) of United International University (UIU), which is a great example of research commercialisation from academia to industry in Bangladesh.

Daffodil International University (DIU) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) for cooperation and strengthening education and research in the field of nuclear science and engineering and related programmes.
