The name Bobita brings back some great memories, offering a nostalgic trip for many. Throughout the decades, she had performed in three hundred of movies. More so, she was a star during glorious periods of Bengali cinema, working for eminent makers such as Satyajit Ray and Zahir Raihan. Little known fact; Zahir Raihan, the legendary filmmaker and writer, was her brother-in-law.

Ashna Habib Bhabna is a relative newcomer in the film industry. However, her talents were proven several times beforehand in television and modelling. Her talents as a dancer are also well known by those of that industry both at home and abroad. The complete package of talents she possesses is being noticed by several executives in the top ranks of the industry. So, Star Showbiz decided to catch up with Bhabna and let the viewers in on her off screen sides.

It was rather late at night when we landed in Kolkata. But we still called up Joya Ahsan. Around two in the morning, we were at Srijit Mukherji's house. It was the first time we met this fabulous filmmaker in person, and truth be told, we felt awkward showing up at such an odd hour. But he was such a friendly host that we soon sank into an 'adda'. Rajkahini is the latest movie of Srijit Mukherji. Joya Ahsan is one of the artists in this film, whose bold role, which she magnificently performed, earned her kudos as well as controversies. Here's a glimpse of the 'nocturnal interview' Star Showbiz took.

What do you think makes a classic, classic? Is it its memorable dialogue, even a single line from a movie that has become immortal?

The slender and beautiful Fraulein of Bangladesh's showbiz circuit, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim is a chic and elegant model in addition to being a gifted actress on screen. Winner of the 2007 edition of “Lux – Channel i Superstar” contest, she made her on screen debut in 2008 through novelist and film maker Humayun Ahmed's film, “Amar Achey Jol”. Although starting off by mostly acting in TV Dramas, she waited patiently for the right roles to come by in the silver screens through her parts in “Amar Pran er Priya”, “Jonaki'r Alo”, “Tarkata”, and “Poddo Patar Jol”, which later transformed her to a full on movie actress. This week, Star Showbiz meets her to find out how she has come here, what she is up to nowadays, and what she has planned for the future, with some bits about her personal sides as well.

It was quite a unique start. Not many actors can say that their first appearance in the media was for a debating competition. Nusrat Faria can. When she was a school student, she became a champion debater in such a competition aired by Bangladesh Television. She went on to work as a DJ, TV show host, RJ and model. And now, she is an actor as well. This year's Eid-ul-Adha marked the release of her first movie.

Let's start with the most important one of all; people don't watch TV nowadays and it's failing to bring in new viewers, especially for TV dramas. As fairly new generation artists in the industry, how is your experience so far, and where in the industry do you think the problem lies?

Known for her signature on-stage flair and vivacious performances, Mila is a household name in the folk-fusion genre of Bangladesh. Bursting into the mainstream music scene back in 2006 and continuing to uphold her popularity amongst the crowd with consecutive hit albums, and songs like “Jatrabala” and “Tumi ki shara dibe?” Star Showbiz recently had a chat with Mila to find out what she has been up to for the past few years, apart from concerts, as the audience feels a new album or song is long overdue from her.
