Songs of Innocence

Whenever we encounter the word 'childhood', a sense of nostalgia takes over, inducing an urge to go back to the days of yore. No matter how you felt as a child, once grown up, childhood seems like a utopia (unless you're a character created by Charles Dickens). It's the age of innocence. According to norms or under ideal conditions, a child should play, laugh, dream and do all the silly things without knowing the complexities of life. It's the age of development and the road to future. Photos in this series were shot in different rural areas of Bangladesh and showcase typical moments of childhood that one comes across or fondly recalls.
