Shakib and Ebadot put Tigers on top
Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan picked up his third wicket of the match to remove the well-set James Vince, and pacer Ebadot Hossain castled Moeen Ali to leave England six down for 130 after 28 overs in the third ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Monday.
Ebadot castled Moeen Ali in the 28th over when he bowled it full to the left-handed batter, who tried to flick it away but the ball nipped in slightly and missed the bat. It brushed off the batter's pads and crashed onto the stumps.
In the previous over, Shakib got hit for four in the fifth delivery when Vince skipped down the wicket but in the next ball, the left-arm spinner pulled his length back and got it to turn away sharply from middle-stump and managed to take the outside edge. Vince managed to hit four fours and one six for his 44-ball 38.
Off-spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz got in on the act when he dismissed Sam Curran to leave England in a spot of bother 107 for four after 27 overs.
Mehedi would have to thank his good fortunes as his delivery that dismissed Curran was not his best. It was short and wide, and as it turned away from the left-handed batter, he decided to make contact trying to force the pace of the game but could not clear Liton Das at long-off. Before this Curran hit four fours and a six for his 49-ball 23 but the good news for England is that the dismissal brought their skipper Jos Buttler rot crease.
