Taijul sends back Buttler and Rashid
Spinners came out on top for Bangladesh as left-arm spinner Taijul Islam was the latest to get in on the act as he picked up the crucial wicket of England skipper Jos Buttler, and castled Adil Rashid to leave England eight down for 174 after the 39th over in the third ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Monday.
The left-arm spinner bowled a quicker one that was short to Rashid, who rocked onto the backfoot to put it away but the ball slid through with low bounce as it went past the bat and crashed onto the stumps. The right-handed batter managed a 14-ball eight before his demise.
Earlier, Buttler, who scored a 24-ball 26, looked to force the pace of the game and tried to reverse sweep Taijul but missed the ball completely as he was struck below the knee roll. He requested a hopeful review but the replays showed all red and the 32-year-old had to take the walk back to the pavilion.
