Ancelotti suing struggling Everton
Carlo Ancelotti is suing former employers Everton in London's high court, piling on the misery in the Blue corners of Merseyside after three key members of Everton's board left their roles with the Premier League on Monday and chairman Bill Kenwright expected to depart.
Ancelotti's lawyers filed the claim, which relates to "general commercial contracts and arrangements", late on Friday, according to court records.
Earlier, the club's CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Chief Finance and Strategy Officer Grant Ingles and director Graeme Sharp departed after months of protests by fans against club owner Farhad Moshiri for a lack of investment.
Media speculated that the departures were a sign that investment from the New York-based MSP Sports Capital was imminent.
Moshiri has been seeking investment for a new stadium and to strengthen the squad after barely avoiding relegation for the second straight season.
