Ritu Porna Chakma's mother thanks PM for donation to build house

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has provided financial assistance for the construction of the house of national women's football player Ritu Porna Chakma.

The prime minister handed over the donation cheque to Rituparna during a break in the budget session at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban yesterday afternoon.

Ritu Porna's mother, Basubati Chakma, expressed gratitude for the support, telling The Daily Star, "Yesterday, Ritu told me that the prime minister has provided financial assistance to build our house. This is a great blessing for us. We are very happy. I thank the prime minister and wish him good health."
