The Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) decided to hold the National Hockey Championship this month without some of the top players, who are interested in taking part in German leagues.

Holding the National Hockey Championship with participation of district and services teams hangs in the balance as the Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) is still undecided whether to allow some top national players to take part in a foreign league by halting the championship which is supposed to start on April 27.

The people back home would have to wait to hear the biggest news of their children's lives and that of their families, though it was possible the shrieks and cries from pure joy and utter exhaustion may have traveled all the way from Austria to Bangladesh.

Fourteen months after the completion of the last players' transfers of the Premier Division Hockey League, the Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) is seemingly reluctant to declare the players' transfers for the upcoming season, leaving another season at risk of disappearing from the calendar.
