For Khairul Anam Shakil, celebrating five decades of music is not just a personal milestone; it is a reflection of Bangladesh’s cultural heartbeat. As a celebrated Nazrul Sangeet exponent and General Secretary of the Bangladesh Nazrul Sangeet Sangstha (BNSS), Shakil has devoted his life to teaching, performing, and preserving the legacy of Kazi Nazrul Islam.

Commemorating the legacy of the National poet, the two-day-long festival kicked off today on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The eagerly anticipated Nazrul Festival 2024 is all set to kick off on March 8 and 9 at Gulshan Society Lake Park, Dhaka. Organised jointly by Bangladesh Nazrul Sangeet Sangstha, Gulshan Society, and the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, this two-day cultural celebration promises to be a vibrant showcase of the works of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The second edition of Nazrul Utsav kicked-off at the capital's Gulshan Society Lake Park, today. The two-day-long event has been organised by Bangladesh Nazrul Sangeet Sangstha (BNSS), High Commission of India in Dhaka and Gulshan Society. HSBC Bank Bangladesh is the title sponsor of the festival.
